Runway Recap: Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear

Milan knows drama, and Dolce & Gabbana delivered it with a wink. For Spring 2026, Domenico and Stefano turned bedtime into prime time, sending pajamas and lingerie down the runway like they were couture gowns, and we were here for it.

The real drama unfolded in the front row. Meryl Streep swept in as Miranda Priestly, trench coat, sunglasses, and all, with Stanley Tucci at her side. Was this still a runway show, or were we all extras on set of The Devil Wears Prada 2?

The show opened with crisp sky-blue pajama stripes, embroidered just enough to blur the line between sleepwear and streetwear. Slip dresses in chiffon, oversized blazers thrown over lace corsets, the kind of layering that made us wonder if it was meant for the boardroom, the bedroom.

This wasn’t the slouchy Sunday look of loungewear. This was pajama dressing as fantasy. Think Grace Kelly slipping through a hotel corridor at midnight or Monica Bellucci in a silk robe at golden hour. Florals were displayed as delicate embroidery, leopard print also made a sly cameo, and even the bags looked like they had just rolled out of bed in the chicest way.

And then came the shoes: Slides, stilettos and hosiery so bold it demanded its own close-up. Comfort, yes. But comfort with claws. The fuzzy slides introduced a sense of ease, echoing the pajama references but elevated through plush textures and refined finishes. The rest of the footwear also played a decisive role in anchoring the collection’s tension between intimacy and public display. They were the kind of shoes designed for both the private sphere and the curated street moment; soft enough to suggest loungewear, polished enough to hold their own under the runway lights.

Dolce & Gabbana has always thrived on contradiction; masculine and feminine, modest and sensual, sacred and profane. This season, they leaned into that tension and came out with something distinctly modern: the idea that you don’t have to choose. Pajamas can be eveningwear, lingerie can be armor, and a fur-free faux shearling handbag can still feel decadent.

The Spring 2026 presentation wasn’t about what to wear to bed. It was about waking up. Waking up to fashion that blurs lines, plays with expectations, and gives women permission to own contradictions. And as Miranda Priestly herself might say: That’s all.
